Don't care for royal weddings, especially in this economy.  Meh.
Doubt they'll have an awesome reception with everyone dancing to "Funky Town".

Changed my blog's entire color scheme to make it more of an eyesore, the closest I can get it to resemble the beginnings of an ocular migraine.  And it's no longer entitled "Making Random", though it will continue to do just that, only under the new/old name, "The Strobe Room".

Proceed at your own risk.  Bring your own painkillers.

This is how I'm gonna feed my husband.

For Sunday's supper, I got creative with a package of Jennie-O Sweet Italian Turkey sausage and a bag of frozen veggie mix.

I have lunch for the next three days.

Arugula with tuna steak I tore apart with a fork, cherry tomatoes and avocado with Asian Sesame dressing.  Oh, and New York cheddar on toast.

Happy Happy Friday!

Judging from Ayush's expression, I'm pretty sure he's wanted to do this to me for quite sometime now.

Dinner for One

Tonight's dinner:  Boneless chicken breast fillets cooked in ginger teriyaki sauce, with brown rice and chopped steamed veggies.  I've started buying my chicken in bulk, so hurray for leftovers.  I'm set for the next couple of days.

Nice, tender, and soaked in flavor.

I have a billion of these plastic containers stuffed haphazardly in a cupboard.  Most of them are my Mom's and I refuse to return them.

Er...I'll leave them for tomorrow morning.

In contrast to the Hubz' recent angry (and rightly so, goddammit!) blog post...

It came today in the mail.  I took a chance ordering it because the description on Amazon (I bought it used) didn't cite whether or not it had an original Edward Gorey cover.

I did a happy dance when I opened the envelope and found that it did!

BU-UUUUUUUT for some reason, this Puffin paperback edition doesn't have Edward Gorey's frontpiece art - you know, the illustration inside the book, waaay at the front before the text.  Meh.  Perhaps my search should be limited to the Bantam Skylark versions.
I have another book coming soon.  Like the other, the description didn't mention the edition or cover art.  This is the one I'm hoping to get:

This version isn't so bad, but not it's not Gorey:

In other reading news, my Kindle is seeing a lot of action.  I just started on Wendy Moffat's A Great Unrecorded History: A New Life of E. M. Forster.
